Contemporary Psychometrics for QOL research: IRT, DIF, and Other Latent Variable Modeling Approaches
The workshop aims to review some recent developments in psychometric theory and practice. We will present some new methods from item response theory (IRT), as well as differential item functioning (DIF) and item analyses more generally. Given the context of quality of life and subjective well-being research (and the item formats as well as sample sizes therein) the focus will, where possible, be on data-driven and nonparametric as well as graphical and robust methods.
